Here’s a place to discuss the 3rd WOMBAT test. My student ID number is at home on my laptop, so I can’t check until tonight. GAH! That stinks!
Congrats to everyone who did well! And if you didn’t do well……well, there’s always the food service industry.

Slothrop already got his:
WOMBAT grades are up. Got a very surprising “Outstanding.”
I am so smart! S-M-R-T!
Congratulations to him!
tell me how to open the door….please!…this is maddening!!!
The door is closed again, alas. For WOMBAT 3, you had to click on the fly which then became a key. Then there was a puzzle to solve.
I think the door will open again one more time just before DH is released with a teaser or something. She did that with HBP iirc.
I got an Exceeds Expectations! Wow, thats way better then i imagined. I can still get into N.E.W.T. level classes. Haha.
I got an Acceptable. That’s disappointing. I felt better about this one than the last one and I got Exceed’s Expectations on that one.
Oh well. At least I passed.
I have no idea how I got an “O,” though I did follow Dave and Chainsaw’s advice and answered “C” all the way through
Slothrop, that advice got me into College.
Ivan,
I never give multiple choice exams myself, but it would be hard not to have the last five or so answers all be “C” just for fun.
Its funny since you’re a teacher, and i have always thought of my teachers as fairly lifeless boring people, having been a student all my life. I forget sometimes that teachers are people with a sense of humor also.
Switch the last period and comma in that comment.
trust me, being a prof can be lifeless–there’s a thread on the Chronicle of Higher Education’s website devoted to why people are leaving the academy. A sense of humor (and for me, an amazing partner) keeps me sane. that and bourbon.
I won’t mark you down–that sentence looks alright to me.
Bourbon is good. But yeah, i can see how it may be boring. Its just odd for me to see a prof person in an outside the classroom capacity because i was in high school 2 years ago. So i remember having teachers who were probably like you, not long ago.
