The Cardinals start a HUGE two-game series with the Wild Card-leading Brewers tonight. In t-minus 17 hours. I’m so nervous I could cry.
Also, Hamlet II opens up Wednesday and I’m so pumped about it. The previews are reminding me of Waiting for Guffman. Yippee!
I get to start recapping 90210 next week at Zap 2 It. Yay for me! I’m also hoping to get to do something over there with the 24-hour Labor Day Beverly Hills 90210 Marathon that is on Soap Net next Monday.

We took one from the Cubs in dramatic fashion last night. After freakin’ Izzy gave up two runs to freakin’ Soriano in the 9th, we came back and won on a Skip Schumaker walk-off homer in the 11th. Yay Skip! Today our wunderkind Kyle Lohse takes on Ted Lilly. Here are some of my favorite Cards pictures to inspire a win!

I’m watching 1st and 10 right now. Yes, I know. (shakes head) But still…they are discussing their picks for this year’s playoffs and World Series and when they got to the NL Central, Skip Bayless said:
“Ya know what? I’m going out on a limb here because I don’t think the Cubs or the Brewers, who are pretty good, will be able to separate in this division in the first half. Which means the St. Louis Cardinals are going to come on in the second half and steal this division, once they get Chris Carpenter and Mulder back in that rotation that already has a Wainwright, a Pineiro.”
I could just kiss Skip Bayless right now.

I’ve come to terms with it being my fault that Rolen’s gone. I have decided to stop wallowing and crying in my beer and have instead decided to throw myself into my new-found Blue Jays fandom. We’ll see how it goes.

I hate losing to Iowa State. I HATE IT. Iowa looked terrible last Saturday. Here is my reenactment of the last 3 minutes 38 seconds of the game:
Field goal to give Iowa the lead by 1.
Long, ridiculous pass to put ISU in field goal range.
ISU makes a field goal to take a 2-pt lead.
We almost return the ensuing kickoff for a TD.
But ISU stops us and we lose to those *#&%ers.
