I’m watching 1st and 10 right now. Yes, I know. (shakes head) But still…they are discussing their picks for this year’s playoffs and World Series and when they got to the NL Central, Skip Bayless said:
“Ya know what? I’m going out on a limb here because I don’t think the Cubs or the Brewers, who are pretty good, will be able to separate in this division in the first half. Which means the St. Louis Cardinals are going to come on in the second half and steal this division, once they get Chris Carpenter and Mulder back in that rotation that already has a Wainwright, a Pineiro.”
I could just kiss Skip Bayless right now.

Saturday came bright n early (each day seemed a little brighter and a little earlier…and not in a good way) and you know the drill. I headed for the sportsbook to hang with my boys and watch some bball. I didn’t actually get to watch very much because the games started at 11 and I had to be on the monorail by 2 pm with my girls because we were off to…STRIPPER 101 CLASS.
We headed for the V Theatre in Planet Hollywood, where two beautiful exotic dancers took the group of us back to a dimly-lit room that had 10 poles (brightly-lit in rotating neon colors) from ceiling to floor. We then spent 90 minutes learning how to give a real lapdance and do moves on the pole. It was amazing and so much fun.

Friday dawned bright n early. I packed up my bags (because the lovely bachelorettes were arriving today and I was getting out of the 3-ring hell that is Circus Circus) and took off 2 blocks to the Hilton Grand Vacations. Susie, one of our bachelorettes, has these great future in-laws who very kindly cashed in their Hilton points to get us 2 two-bedroom suites for 3 nights. Nobody was in Vegas yet, so I dropped my bag off with the bellman and headed back to the Hilton Sportsbook. My buddies from Atlanta and Kansas were already there and we set up shop. Big Ten MADNESS

There was some pretty crazy shit happening last night in the Minnesota/Indiana game. In case you haven’t seen the highlights yet (there’s no way y’all saw it when the game was ACTUALLY on. I mean, 1) it’s Big Ten basketball and 2) it was on the Big Ten Network), what happened was this: DJ White went to the free throw line with Indiana down one point. He made the first one to tie it up, then bricked the second and GOT HIS OWN rebound and then got fouled. He again made 1 of 2 free throws to give Indy a one-point lead with 1.5 seconds left. Minnesota then threw a baseball pass the length of the court and true freshman Blake Hoffarber chucked a sky hook up and in at the buzzer for a Minnesota one-point victory. Here is the video:
